Tom has a love for storytelling and writing that teeters on obsession (healthy, we think). His writing has appeared in big brand campaigns, legislative briefs, Canadian comedy shows, shopping lists, and mini-golf scorecards. He likes his words the way he likes his whiskey—neat and well-balanced.
His story in advertising begins as a college debater and coach, weaving the subtle ins and outs of persuasion. While arguing the design of the world, Tom moonlighted as a student earning a bachelor’s and two master’s degrees that he scarcely uses. After grad school, Tom cut his teeth supporting one of the best lobbying teams in the business, leading clients such as Lyft, Airbnb, and Nike to achieve policy, product, and people objectives. Along the way, he discovered that “copywriter” was a job and set out to become one. Tom began penning award-winning (and award-losing) campaigns for SpaceX, Vans, and Dr. Squatch. Tom enjoys simple things, like a fresh pair of wool socks or a spirited game of Cribbage by the lake. He’s usually hungry: for lunch, globetrotting, and knowledge.
Now, he is writing this biography in the third person. But if you would like to know more about him in the first person, contact him.
